PCS Next Generation to be released on 25 January 2016

January 22, 2016

It is a great pleasure for RNE to announce that the PCS Change Control Board has agreed to release PCS Version 5.0 (also known as ‘PCS Next Generation’) on 25 January 2016. All dossiers from the 2017 timetable, 2016 timetable and those of previous years will be transferred from the current system into the new version. No action is needed on your part!

As of 26 January, all PCS users are requested to access their dossiers in order to test the new features. You will also be able to continue with the elaboration of the dossiers for TT2017 and TT2016 as normal.

Please take into account the changes to the URLs for the new PCS version:

In order to access PCS, please make sure that your web browser fulfils the minimum requirements:

  • Mozilla Firefox (Version 31 and above)
  • Google Chrome (Version 31 and above)
  • Internet Explorer (Version 10 and above)
  • Safari (Version 7 and above)

The PCS Team is on standby to assist you with the deployment of the new version of PCS, should you encounter any difficulties. Patches for detected bugs will be provided by our developers during the first weeks after release.

All documentation for the new system can now be accessed via our CMS at the following URL: http://cms.rne.eu/pcs/documentation. The documentation shall be updated regularly and new material will be incorporated on a daily basis.

RNE will continue to provide training sessions as in 2015. Together with the Corridor OSS Community, different training sessions are planned throughout January and February. We will also assist passenger users in the next FTE A conference in February and we shall also be present at the FTE B freight conference. Further training sessions will be announced in due time. RNE will also work closely with trainers from different companies in order to provide specialised training sessions as well.

We hope that you will enjoy this version of PCS and its new features, which have been shaped by your feedback in recent months. We are very grateful for your contributions, which have made PCS NG possible!
